Hi, folks!
Here's a little bit about me. Above all, I love to tell stories--the
funnier, the better. I'm inspired by folksy and quirky characters
that I meet. I never understood it when my grandmother told me
not to be a storyteller. Luckily, I ignored that advice!
I'm an award-winning Texas
playwright, author of books for both
adults and kids,
blogger, poet, spinner of tales, dreamer, seeker of truth, herder
of cats and gardener who lives in a small town in central
Texas. I've been writing stories and making art since I was very
young. I'm a native Texan who comes from a long line of Southern
eccentrics of Cherokee, Sioux, Welsh and Irish origin. More than
anything, that explains a lot about me.
I've also been an exhibiting artist, but now I focus on my playwriting, blogging and short essay and
story writing.
My first comedy play, Annierella
& the (Very Awesome) Good Queen Fairy Cowmother, was produced at the Williston,
North Dakota Old Armory Theatre on June 23, 2009 in the Summer
Shorts Festival, Youth Education on Stage and WON FIRST PLACE! The play was also an Honorable
Mention in the McLaren Comedy Playwriting Competition in Midland,
Texas.

Happy trails!
