DRACULA BITES, or The Journal of Mina Harker
by Bobbi A. Chukran

This hilarious comedy farce or spoof (Rated PG) version of the classic Bram Stoker novel is perfect for community theatre or school plays.

When Daniel Harker traveled to Transylvania on business, little did he know he'd meet a true bloodsucking vampire. After he discovers the secret of the Count, Daniel tries to escape, but is kept prisoner and is "bothered" by the Vampire Brides...three raggedy vixens with an appetite for...blood!

Daniel is forced to accompany the Count back to England where the vampire makes the acquaintance of Daniel's beautiful wife, Mina, her friend Lucy, Lucy's uncle and a very strange Doctor, Abraham Van Helsing, who has spent his whole life studying vampires.

When Lucy gets ill, the Count's cover is blown, and they realize that Count Dracula is a true vampire who must be vanquished.

Will they be able to save Mina from a fate worse than death? And will she be able to keep her hat on through the entire play?

Take one ancient handsome vampire, one milksop, one fiesty Victorian lady who would rather be dead than caught without her hats, mix in one poetic lunatic to the bunch, and you have a recipe for hilarity.

Better watch out---Dracula bites!

This is a full-length comedy (approximately 90-minutes) for
6F, 6M with some possible doubling.

RATED PG
